So things are progessing. One fundraising event under the belt and 2 or 3 to go!

Nadine arrived in Canada this week! We'll be spending quite a bit of time together planning, praying and she'll be teaching me Swahili. I've tried learning on my own but it's not going so well. :S
This week I took a good chunk of time to clean up some remaining freelance projects. I'm looking forward to having them completely finished so that I can focus 100% on preparing myself spiritually and physically for this trip.
I found out a few days ago that I am able to issue tax receipts through Elim Fellowship... this is good news! If you're considering supporting me please check out the Support page.

Tomorrow is my first fund raiser!
There's a lot to do between now and then to pull it off! It's going to be fantastic. I'll be sure to post pictures early next week.
If you're coming out tomorrow I'll see you then! and if not hopefully you can come out to one of my fund raisers in the future.

Things are shaping up!

A few RSVP's for the FUNDRAISING DINNER have trickled in. If you're planning on attending please contact me by Feb. 12th! My sister and I are busy planning out the decorations, food and logistics to make this event come together. It's going to be fabulous! You don't want to miss it!
I sent out my first mass email about this venture. I'm so excited! I received many positive responses. My first response was from a cousin who I don't see very often so it was cool hearing from her. I'm going to be missing her wedding while I'm away but she's got a great website so I'll be able to see pictures of the big day.
